This project was crafted from kiln-dried Douglas Fir, carefully selected for its exceptional appearance and strength. Each piece met or exceeded Select Structural grade, with a focus on straight, tight grain and high density to support the detailed hand-carving work required. The result was a beautiful, one-of-a-kind finished product that truly showcases the natural character of the wood — it came out really cool!
